Preschool & VPK
Young Knights Preschool at Christ Classical Academy partners with parents to develop followers of Christ who discern and practice what is true, good, and beautiful. Our program is designed to support growth and development of the whole child spiritually, intellectually, socially, emotionally, and physically using the foundational elements of the Trivium. In addition to classroom and playground activities, preschoolers rotate through special areas including music and Latin. Academic growth is a priority of our program; however, intentional discipleship and nurturing little hearts are our first priorities. PreK-3 students will practice and establish the beautiful habits of sharing, taking turns, reciting liturgies, catecisms, and scripture, building new friendships, listening, sitting and attending, and communication skills. Activities are geared towards nurturing wonder and a love for learning, developing positive self-concepts, and character development.
The structured class environment offers small-group and one-on-one instruction, imaginative and thematic centers, sensory engagement, scientific inquiry, and reading galore! Academic learning includes poem and scripture memory, songs, colors, shapes, letters, and developing number sense. At least two blocks of outdoor free play is a part of every school day, weather permitting, encouraging gross-motor development, ample physical movement, creative play, and relationship building.
In this wonderfully pivotal preschool year, 4-year-old Voluntary Prekindergarten (VPK) students practice pre-literacy, early writing, and early math skills while also building listening, communication, and problem-solving skills. Activities are geared towards nurturing wonder and a love for learning, developing positive self-concepts, and character development.
Students learn through a variety of educational approaches, including play-based learning, engaging centers, crafts, hands-on activities, games, jingles and songs! We utilitize a Christ-centered, classical preschool curriculum, in addition to supplemental thematic elements. Students build fine and gross motor skills, learn letter recognition, phonograms, number recognition and Bible knowledge from enthusiastic educators. By God’s grace, students will be joyfully “reading ready” as they step into Kindergarten!
Young Knights Preschool at Christ Classical Academy is a VPK provider for the state of Florida. To receive the discounted tuition, you must register with the Early Learning Coalition.
